Ok so I did my big chop 7mo ago and I am loving my hair. When I first cut my hair I put a color in it. Well I decided that the colr made my hair look dry and no matter  how much I moisturized it still looked dry. Well so I decide that I was not going to color it any longer and I have not had it done in about 5mo. So now I noticed that my hair is shedding a lot. I spoke to a girl that I know who is also natural and she said that it is normal because it is winter time and I shouldnt worry. Well I am. I have been deep conditioning like a maniac. I dont know if I should cut my hair or should expect this breakage because it is winter. Also if I cut my hair how much should I cut off.   Maybe I should try changing products. I currently use Cream of  Nature Rosemary and Lemongrass cream leave in deep conditioner and I use cholesterol to deep condition and VO5 to cowash. Please give me any suggestion that you can. Thanks in advance for your help.

OK so I was at work when a lady was talking to her friend that a beauty supply store was going out of business and that they were having a BOGO sale. So knowing me I cant resist a bargain or a deal. So I asked her where and when. I got the info and was in there the very next day. I was walkng around and I found a gel that says it conditions and shines and that it has olive oil, sunflower seed oil and all different types of oil. So i am all psyched cause Im thinking a gel with natural oils should be the bomb. So I bought not only one but TWO, and you get 2 free. OK went home and i was thinking that I am gonna try something with my hair. so i moisturized with shea butter oil and put a glob of gel in my hair. My thought was to slick my hair down to see if it worked and to see if it might be something that I can do on occasions. So i did it. It actually looked good. My hubby was diggin it for maybe 2 hrs then it started to curl up and look frizzy. So I was like this isnt gonna work, so I went to wash it out. OMG OMG. my hair was so dry and brittle and I was soooo mad and freaking out. So i got out the shower and put some deep conditioner in it, let it sit for 15min and washed it out. That still didnt work so I put more deep conditioner and I slept in it and washed it out on before work today. It was still dry I am so upset at myself and the product. So I tried to moistureize it with somemore shea butter and i put more conditioner in it and wore it to work like that. I am upset because I was trying to do something to my hair beacuse I am getting bored with it and I actually hurt my hair instead. so i am to the point where I am just gonna let my hair be and let it do its own thing.  So witht that being siad leave yourr hair alone. I am pass the point where I am gonna mess with it and do more harm than good.

Two Strand Twist

Today for the 1st time I did the 2 starnd twist. HOORAY!! I did my BC 2 months ago and I have to say that I am loving it. I must say that I am having a itch to do new things to it. I did the comb/gel twist 3wks ago and I didnt like it much. It was beautiful but it was so dry and flaky from all that gel that I started to break out from it and I washed it out only after 1 1/2 week. A waste of money but it was a lesson and I learned mine. But anyways, I am not very good at doing hair and I told myself that I am gonna do my hair today no matter how long it takes. I conditioned my hair then greased it with Palmers Olive Oil Blend with gro therapy. After the 2nd row I got so discouraged and I was on the verge of giving up but I reminded myself that I said I w gonna do it now matter how long it took. So I pressed on and half was through I was so through because every twist I did it came unraveled. I said to myself I will do my whole hair then I will go back to do the ones that came loose. So i did it and when I was done I felt such a sense of accomplishment. YEAH BABY!!! And guess what? I think it looks good. Im not sure if it looks good enough to rock outside but I plan to keep it for a few days then take it out.  I will ask my hubby how it looks later. But with all that being siad, try new things to your hair b/c you never know how it will come out.  Stay motivated and encouraged and embrace your beauty.
