Well......I have a good bit of growth since my BBC and I think Im getting lost in my napps lol.......I tried some braids in the front last nite and the fro didnt look big enuf, so I took them out and put one small braid coming from almost one side across front- I think it looks Ok.....I have to get some ideas soon.....Im at a loss of words today.........

This weekend I went over to visit my mom and again she reminded me that I need to pick out my nappy hair into a fro, and not the curly look, b/c it's kinda curly looking, but really nappy looking...lol.  Keep in mind, we are good friends and this was in humor, but she is always honest, so nothing was taken to heart- we just joked around.  Another thing -she has been very supportive, as well as my twin sisters.  OK- we talked and she felt around in my hair and finally she got to gigglin' and she said-"I see people with their hair like this, and I didn't realize they were trying to form curls.....I just thought they weren't combing they're hair".......I said mama there's a lot we (blacks) don't know when we form opinions about one another.  She went on to say, still gigglin'.............."Ya know it kinda reminds me of our "cat's hair"......I said "What!!!!!"....She busted out laughin' and said really, ya know not like your kitten...."your "CAT"......"Oh my gooodness" Mama.......We were fallin out laughin and my 14 year old son could get the joke, thank God......but the conversation ended basically- She said well if you like it "Do You, baby- you're beautiful anyway".  So I learned that a lot of people really don't understand the natural process we go through, including those who are the closest to us, but it did end on a positive note, I just hope every time I look in the mirror I don't think about my "Cat".......LOL

Well this past weekend I played with my hair and viewed natural tips, and short styles......I tried the frohawk and liked it........(Kind of a curly hawk- my son said leave the top curly, so I did)....Most of the comments were positive..."makes your face look slimmer", "cute" and very positive from my fam & friends.....My hubby didn't comment at all- LOL, but to be expected b/c he is a long hair lover, but I loved it, love being natural, and that's what matters.  My son was one is one of my biggest fans, he is 14 and was all into it, givin me tips and such, so overall I think it was a success, and a style worth sporting if you want to try a change.

Since I've done the BC & gone all naturale, I've read so much online, and listening to different advice; OK the main thing I've learned is to avoid petroleum jelly/vaseline and/or sulfate products....I still love my shampoo & conditioner regime (bioinfuison olive oil), but I have been looking for some everyday mositure products. ......had been using cantu moisurizer, so decided to pick up the cantu shea butter hair dressing pomade (I live & learn)...pomade should have rang a bell, but here I am with this pomade- washed & conditioned today, and pomaded-----I can't deal with the greasiness- couldn't even when I wore a relaxer, so I'm about to go and wash it out.  HELP My Natural Warriors. I love my hair and have no intent on returning relaxer, but I just need a little advice on an everyday moisturizer......bioinfusion has a wonderful daily moisturizer, feels great, but no shine...Last but not least- alot of the products don't work well together- even the alcohol free gel for my sides= i bought (IC Fantasia Shine- i just love it)....BUT if I try to use it with the cantu, or bioinfusion- it turns white...YUCK! I haven't found a gel, made by cantu, or bioinfusion, so that the products work well together (Am I overlooking the correct products I need?).........
