 1. I use only conditioner to shampoo(cleanse) my hair ( Aussie's smooth conditioner).

2. I normally co-wash once a week.

3. I trim my ends every 4-6 weeks. I trim when I have twists in my hair, I make them small to make sure that when I trim my hair that it will be done neatly. I trim diagonally not straight across, so that it will not disturb the twists.

4. I deep condition once a month, I make my own deep conditioner with a combination of products that I use. I wrap my hair in plastic wrap and sit under the hooded dryer for about 30min.

5. As for styling I do a lot of protective styles  that I leave in for about 1wk: Twists(small they last longer)/ Braids(small)= then when the week starts to come to an end, I slowly take out the twists/braids and then wear the coiled/crimped look.

6. Once a month I take my measuring comb and measure my growth.(You can find them at Sally's Beauty Supply). They are aka multipurpose combs/styling combs. Tney have numbers on them to measure your hair in inches. They also come in handy when you are giving a haircut/trim.

7. I also mist my hair with glycerine water every day. I do this because my hair loves moisture.

I hope that this helps some people. Just find out what works for you, because what works for me may not work for you.

Hello, I just recently made the big chop after transitioning for about 10-11 months now so I’m still trying to find the right hair care regimen. If you don’t mind sharing…I was wondering what exactly do you use to make your deep conditioning treatment?
